Clarksburg Social Ballroom is located at 111 S 4th Street Clarksburg, WV 26301. It is a newly formed ballroom themed dance studio whose main focus is creating an environment that is both professional and friendly, where anyone can learn, dance and have fun! If you are interested in any style of dance, whether it is Latin or Ballroom, or anything else, here at Clarksburg Social Ballroom you will find everything you need.
We teach International and American styles at any level. It doesn't matter if you have a partner or what your goal is! We offer both private lessons and group classes in a wide variety of programs and scheduling options.
Clarksburg Social Ballroom follows the DVIDA Medal system in which each student can learn all the dance skills and moves for each of the 3 levels of difficulty (Bronze, Silver & Gold). By using this system, students can easily compete anywhere in the country under the same standardize styles. Also by using the DVIDA system if students need to move to a different area, they can easily find a studio in which they can continue their studies from where they left off.
Timmothy. known by all as Tim is 26 years old and is a resident of Clarksburg, WV. He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to WV in 1990 with his mother, father and two sisters. He grew up keeping active by playing many different sports from Swimming to Tennis and always enjoyed learning new skills from sports. His interest in Ballroom Dancing began in college where he was looking for an activity that was challenging and fun that he considered an admirable new skill to attain. He quickly new that Ballroom Dancing would be a lifelong love that he would continue to pursue to this day. Tim has been Ballroom Dancing socially and competitively for approx 4 yrs. His favorite dances include the Waltz and Rumba.
He wanted to provide a social outlet for people in the area where they can learn a new and unique skill while exercising and having fun in a social atmosphere. So, he with the help of his wife, Allison, put together the Clarksburg Social Ballroom at the Body Movement Energy Center. Tim's patience and detail in instruction helps his students feel comfortable learning a new skill and even while in group settings, he makes sure each of his students get individual attention. His students have the opportunity to progress quickly and with confidence through the levels of difficulty of ballroom dancing.
