Making Connections
Dancing with a partner can be taxing, not only physically, but mentally, here's why! When we start dancing, not a predetermined routine, we use critical thinking skills that require split second decisions like when to turn or to move a certain direction. During this process our brain has to use the many many neurons in the brain to create new connections so that we can make these decisions faster and easier. In doing so, our brain is keeping itself young and healthy is also training us how to think critically much faster. In the New England Journal of Medicine there is a study in which they proved that this type of dancing reduced the likeliness of Dementia by 76%
